How a single sponsored video turned into a content ecosystem ranking for 1,000+ keywords.
Chattanooga isn't just another destination we visited. It's home. Sara was born and raised here, and after two years in Seattle and two years of full-time travel, we moved back in 2020 ready to put down roots.
When Visit Chattanooga reached out about a sponsored YouTube video, we saw more than a single deliverable. We saw an opportunity to showcase our city the way we've always experienced it: the cafés where we grab coffee, the trails where we hike with Kramer, and the restaurants where we've celebrated birthdays and anniversaries.
Visit Chattanooga paid for one YouTube video. What they got was a content ecosystem that continues to drive tourism traffic years later.
The paid video was just the beginning. Because this is our hometown, we kept creating. We wrote about the 43 restaurants we actually eat at. We built an itinerary for couples based on dates we've been on. We shared the hiking spots and hotels we recommend to friends when they visit.
The result? Content that ranks because it's written by locals who genuinely know and love this city.
