The Story

Summer in the Desert? That's the Point.

Most people visit Scottsdale in the cooler months. Experience Scottsdale wanted to flip that script. They came to us with a challenge: show travelers why summer in the Sonoran Desert is worth the trip, even when the temperatures climb past 100°F.

We explored Scottsdale during peak summer. Hot air balloon rides at sunrise, the Taliesin West architecture tour, world-class dining, and yes, plenty of air-conditioned museums and spa time. The goal was to capture the off-season experience honestly, showing that the heat opens doors to fewer crowds, better rates, and a different kind of adventure.

The content resonated so well that Experience Scottsdale came back to purchase photo licensing rights, something that wasn't even part of the original scope. When a destination wants more of your work after the campaign ends, you know you got it right.

The YouTube video captured the full experience, from the quiet desert mornings to the vibrant Old Town evenings. The Instagram Reel gave people a quick taste of summer Scottsdale that made them rethink their travel timing.
