Are you a new vlogger trying to decide what gear you should purchase in 2020? Today we're sharing our favorite gear that we take with us on all of our trips. Keep reading to learn why we chose what gear we use....

Choosing the right travel vlog gear can be pretty stressful and expensive. We know, we've been there. Everyone seems to have an opinion about which camera or mic or drone or whatever they think is best, when in reality most of it comes down to which one you think is right for you.

That being said, different price points give you different features so taking into consideration your budget and what you will be using the gear for will help you determine which products best fit your needs. We're not tech reviewers so we're not going to tell you why you should pick product X, Y, or Z. Instead, we recommend stopping by a local camera store and checking out what gear within your budget feels best in your hands. We'd also suggest renting before you buy. If you don't live in a town with a good camera store, trying renting from a national store such as B&H.

While this blogpost is dedicated to gear, we also have another post talking specifically about what software and programs we use to run our digital nomad businesses. So if you're looking to make blogging and/or vlogging your full time gig, check that post out HERE.

Notes About our Gear

It should be noted that while we really love all of the gear mentioned here, that doesn't mean there aren't still other lenses or gadgets we'd like to add to our lineup one day. While we're strong believers in the idea that you can create epic videos with far less gear than even we use (heck, use your iPhone if that's what you have available!), there are still things we'd like invest in one day as our budget allows.

Another thing to note if you're heading into travel vlogging: the less gear you carry the better. While we'd love to have multiple lenses and tons of extra batteries and extra lights, realistically that's not possible when all of our gear needs to find in our backpacks. We highly recommend purchasing gear that is versatile. You can always add to your collection later, but start out with a setup that gives you the most bang for your buck.

Alright, without further ado, here's our go-to travel vlogging and blogging gear!
